Anxiety Treatment
Do you lie awake at night, stressing over nearly every detail of your life? What if you buy that great car you wanted then can’t make the payments? Or what if you wear the wrong clothing to your new church and make a bad impression?
Depression Treatment
Do You Feel Like a Black Cloud is Always Hanging Over Your Head? Have you started losing interest in things you used to enjoy? Are you worried you may never feel happy again? You may have trouble sleeping as feelings of worthlessness and guilt overwhelm you. Do you wish you could feel confident and fulfilled again?

Marriage Counseling
Do you feel like your spouse or partner is not hearing what you’re saying? Do you feel frustrated about your inability to express yourself accurately? Have you noticed every time you and your spouse talk about something important, you end up in a vicious cycle of mutual blame, defensiveness and accusation?
Group Therapy
Countless individuals struggle with challenges in their lives that traditional one-on-one therapy has failed to treat effectively. For many, group therapy offers an effective solution. Being in a group will help you realize other people have problems like yours. It can be a great comfort when you see that you are not alone in your struggles. In my groups safety is a vital consideration, and no member is allowed to speak or behave inappropriately.
Coaching
Have you ever ended the work week feeling drained and frustrated? If so, you’re not alone. Reliable surveys indicate that up to 70 percent of Americans are not happy in their work. Lots of factors could account for this state of affairs: the work itself is unrewarding or boring; you feel unappreciated because of poor compensation or little, if any, chance for advancement; the unpleasant behavior of co-workers and bosses; and the list goes on.
Hypnotherapy
Unlike hypnosis you see on stage at a show, in a therapeutic trance you remain alert and in charge. Because of that, you play an active role in solving your problems. In fact, since you are fully aware and exercising your creative choice throughout the experience, all hypnosis is self-hypnosis.

EMDR Therapy
Is Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (or other trauma-related emotional issues) affecting your life? Do you suffer from painful memories as a result of a traumatic experience? Do you want to resolve those memories rather than live with the trauma?

Countless individuals struggle with anxiety every day. When your fear or worry gets out of control, it can negatively impact your emotional and physical well-being. Anxiety is one of the most commonly treated challenges that individuals face, and professional anxiety treatment can help you feel confident and in control of your life again.

At any given moment, about 7 percent of the U.S. population is diagnosed with some form of depression. A depressive disorder can strike anyone, given the right combination of factors. Today, it is well understood that a depressive disorder is a medical problem, not a character disorder. As a result, if you experience depression or mood swings, you can feel comfortable seeking treatment without having to worry about being judged. Ground-breaking research has led to new methods of treatment, both with and without the use of medication. If you are struggling with depression, there are effective treatment options that can help you feel happy and satisfied.

These days, couples face challenges from so many directions it’s hard to know where to start discussing them. You may both be working, and quality time is at a premium. Parents often give so much time to their children that they neglect their partner or spouse. Changing customs and ‘rules’ can lead to miscommunication, making it hard to understand your partner’s expectations in the relationship. This can result in conflict, negativity, a seemingly endless cycle of accusation and blame and, all too often, divorce. When both you and your partner are fully devoted to preserving the relationship, positive change is possible. It’s a matter of serious self-examination, re-setting priorities and skill-building. With guidance and support, you can heal the wounds in your relationship.

Group therapy offers a fascinating, encouraging and inspiring alternative to traditional one-on-one therapy. Nearly anyone who can benefit from individual therapy or coaching could also benefit from addressing his or her challenges in a group setting. Some individuals attend group sessions without ever sharing their story, finding comfort and strength in knowing that they are not alone in their struggles. Whatever your challenge, group therapy can help you understand your hardships and take steps to change your situation.

One of my clients, a tough veteran police officer in a big city, once told me, “Everyone needs counseling.” He’s not far off the mark. We may not all need therapy or counseling in our lives, but almost all of us could use someone to function as a support system or coach. If you don’t have such a person in your life that can help you sort through a temporary rough patch, seeing a counselor for coaching can have a dramatic, lasting effect on your life.

Whether hypnosis is provided by a therapist or by yourself in the form of self-hypnosis, it has been shown to be a powerful addition to the counseling, therapy and/or coaching process. Hypnosis can help address challenges in your life and manage physical or emotional pain. One of my clients committed to learning self-hypnosis and is now able to reduce the joint pain and fatigue she feels from chronic fatigue syndrome at will, managing the disorder with practically no use of medication. There’s only one way to find out whether hypnosis can be an effective solution for you; and that is to try it.

I also encourage you to visit my blog for additional information and resources you may find helpful. Articles and blog posts will be updated regularly with tips, tricks and stories on seeking solutions and managing or overcoming hardships, and I invite you to come back often to see what’s new.

With the right guidance and support, you are capable of recognizing and creating the change you want in your life.

Best Regards,

Bob Kallus, MS, LMFT
